Where there is not enough it is increased.

Humanity's way is not like this.

And gives where there is plenty.

Who can offer their excess to the world?

Only those who have Dao.

This is why seers act but don't demand

And accomplish but don't dwell on it.

They have no desire to show their worth.

Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water.
No cosa en la mundo es tan suave e sedente como acua.

Yet in attacking the rigid and strong,

It is unsurpassed.

This is by no means easy.

The weak overcomes the strong.

Everyone knows this,

Yet no one applies it.

Thus the seers say:

Accept a country's humiliation

To become a master of the land and harvest.
Per aveni un mestre de la tera e recolie.

Accept a country's misfortune
Aseta la mal fortuna de la pais

To become a ruler of the world.
Per aveni un gidor de la mundo.

True words seem just the reverse.
