I agree with you that we should always try to improve what we have, so for me the process is as important as the result.
The "politeness" of including more languages' word stems in the kernel ist not a suffucient cause for me to switch to an entire new start.
When people are using more than the 100.000 words now in LFN by using 'foreign words' (Fremdworte) from other languages, especially the most important and most untranslatable ones, the need for "politeness" is easily fulfilled.
I am ready to build up a list of such words from German some time (Begriff, Aufhebung, ... - Rucksack, Angst, ... already known :) ).
From English I would like to see some of these 2-3 character words which I perceive as an achievement for "mankind in a hurry" :) like set, get, if ....
From Japanese you could borrow ki for clothing, already known from Kimono, from Chinese words like tao, Sanskrit nirvana and so on. Of course most are philosophical and religious.
