I think maybe he is being too modest. It is true to an
extent, but on the other hand, I think that learning
any Romance language, whether it be Latin or Italian
or Spanish of French or Catalan or LFN, helps in
learning the others because there is a lot of shared
vocabulary.

And then on top of that, I think that learning any
foreign language is something that helps open the door
to other languages, simply by creating the confidence
that it is possible.
