From the very beginning I was thinking on Europe, especially EU. We have a union of people who can't communicate with one another, that's a very bad thing in a democracy.

But I also see a need for communication between North and South America. And of course an European IAL would be a good solution to a chinese who wants make business outside Asia.

Further I think the idea of several levels like pidgin/creole/full IAL is good. It covers differnt needs from the traveller to the scientist.
